We are committed to supporting New Zealand art in whatever shape or form it takes.

What is a piece of art without a frame? The Frame Workshop & Gallery is a combination of our two passions, contemporary NZ art and the bespoke frames that surround that art.

We’re a close team. We’re friendly and approachable and have over 50 years of combined experience working with artists, galleries and customers across New Zealand. This breadth of experience and style of service, along with the quality materials we use and provide, ensures a unique and personalised framing experience.

Our workshop is a large bustling space in the heart of Onehunga, Auckland – it’s where the custom framing magic happens! Come and see our curated range of framing options or meet with one of our experienced team to choose your perfect frame.

The workshop will be bustling with expert framers assembling bespoke frames, assembly lines running for large commercial framing orders, canvases being stretched by hand, and the creation of custom cabinetry for heirloom objects and so much more.

Our Gallery is a beautiful light-filled space in the Auckland suburb of Herne Bay. It is filled with our expertly curated collection of New Zealand art. The walls are covered with inspiration.

For over 40 years the space on Jervois Rd has served the Herne Bay community's art and framing needs. Our team took over the mantle 5 years ago and it is our pleasure to serve the Herne Bay community. We absolutely love it!
